Can Patton Oswalt Get Through A Billy On The Street Segment Without Breaking?
Almost. But not quite.
With the latest episode, this season of Billy On The Street continues its run of celebrity guests who are actual fans -- nothing like the confused, un-fun musical artists (Nas) that Fuse foisted on him in the first two seasons to maintain the tenuous connection between the show and the music channel that airs it. Patton Oswalt, come on down!
Before getting into the actual game, Eichner goes off on a tangent about Ratatouille, in which Oswalt voiced the title character, and how little respect it's gotten from the greater Disney corporation, while Oswalt -- who clearly agrees, but can't say so lest he lose out on voicing the lead in Rata2ille -- does his best to be a good guest while also not pissing off his Mouse overlords, and thus can't really react even when Eichner calls Cars "that piece of shit," which we all well know IT IS.
Oswalt: It's hard to do a Ratatouille ride!
Eichner: WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! THERE'S A FOOD COURT!!! HAVE RATS, PICTURES OF RATS, MAKING PIZZA!!!!!
Oswalt: ...You're-- you're right.
I honestly thought no game could top this exchange, but I hadn't counted on the brilliance of Does Shakira Know What This Is?
It's a ridiculous game that's kind of impossible to win AND YET Oswalt takes it so seriously that he keeps stopping to argue, when he gets scored wrong, and defend his answers.
And honestly, I'm kind of with him: of COURSE Shakira knows what Spanx are! Traffic cones, I'm not so sure.
