Ranking The Best Cat Moments Of The Latest Brooklyn Nine-Nine
And by 'cat moments,' we primarily mean 'cat slams.'
This week's episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine informs us about a shameful time in Sgt. Terry's life, going all the way back to when he first made detective twenty years ago.
No, it's not that he had a flattop. (Although that's nothing to be proud of, particularly.) It's that, on his very first case -- the case he had to solve to earn a desk...or coffee......or the right to sign a co-worker's birthday card; the detectives at the Six-Five are mean, you guys! -- he was pretty sure he'd tracked a series of high-rise break-ins to a certain former acrobat and mustered a SWAT team to the guy's apartment, only to discover that he was a paraplegic following a trapeze fall two years earlier. Det. Terry, desperate not to be wrong, panicked and made a wild accusation: that the acrobat had trained his cat to commit the burglaries for him.
Since then, Terry's old colleagues have periodically tortured him by sending him cats as a reminder of one of his lowest moments as a cop. Jake encourages Terry to get the better of the Six-Five guys by stealing the case file and solving it now -- which, spoiler alert, they do, and Terry turns out to have been right about the acrobat all along.
But along the way, there are a lot of pretty great slams as Sgt. Terry makes the Six-Five's taunting kittens the scapegoatscats for his justified animosity toward his human torturers. And here they are, from mildly to devastatingly adorable.
