How Long Did It Take Us To Drop Out Of High School USA?

It's only ten minutes long, and yet...that might be too long.

Show Attempted: High School USA.

Topic: What if Archie comics were updated for our contemporary, sophisticated (read: filthy) era?

How Far I Expected To Get: I didn't know anything about the show except that it was part of Fox's new ADHD late-night programming block, but after enjoying Axe Cop so much more than I had thought I would, I was hopeful that Fox's having paired HSUSA with Axe Cop meant that the former would be of a quality comparable to the latter.

What Did It: I realize how ridiculous it sounds to say that something "takes forever" to establish in a ten-minute TV episode, but I promise that it takes forever to establish that the lesson the episode will be parodying is the awareness of bullies, and that the plot will be that Brad (voice of T.J. Miller) is one. After Brad takes off, chagrined by the suggestion that he's a bully, Cassandra (voice of Mandy Moore) and Amber (Rachel Butera, I think? The internet is making this information very hard to find) complain that now he won't be able to take them to the dance, before realizing that they can just lez out, and start kissing. Fresh!

Worth Taking Another Run At It? There has yet to be a better high school spoof than Clone High, and this is not even a close contender.
