Time Had By All At Mountain Bike Marathon Championship

THE TOWN - Numbers of bikers descended on the town on a recent day to participate in Mountain Bike Marathon Championship.

Since its launch a number of years ago, Mountain Bike Marathon Championship has been an event in the town that draws both bikers and spectators, and this year -- the latest among the consecutive instances Mountain Bike Marathon Championship has been mounted -- was no exception.

Assembling on their bikes at an hour of the day under weather, the participants raced down one of the local mountains at speeds, while an approximate number of supporters stood along the route, reacting emotionally as the bikers passed.

After a specific amount of time had elapsed, one racer crossed the finish line ahead of the rest, making her the latest winner of both the Mountain Bike Marathon Championship and of an amount of currency.

The winner was followed by a number of other racers, each of whom finished at a time, with the last competitor crossing the finish line several minutes and hours after the race began.

"We feel emotions about drawing athletes of calibres to the town to participate in our event," said a Mountain Bike Marathon Championship spokesperson. "Our race is definitely one of the events in the area every year, and next year some things will be the same while others are different."
