Nick Kroll's Characters: Looking Back On The Best
Kroll Show ended its spectacular first season last night -- too soon for my taste, and probably yours, but maybe the second season will satisfy us all by being forty-eight episodes long. Until then, here are the greatest hits of Kroll's greatest characters, among those we met this season.
Liz G
Though we can surely agree that Liz would be a far less compelling character if not for her business partner and BFF Liz (Jenny Slate). And while you might think that their mannerisms and accents are over-the-top, I promise you that I see Lizzes at the gym every day -- except the real ones have had way more plastic surgery.
Young Billy Joel
The only problem with Young Billy Joel is that we didn't see nearly enough of him.
Ref Jeff
Though the payoff to the Ref Jeff story in the finale last night was eminently satisfying, nothing has topped his very first appearance.
Bobby Bottleservice
Though this character, I admit, can grate on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast, the short sketch format is a perfect showcase for his un-charms. Is Ghost Bouncing his most successful entrepreneurial venture? Yes.
Mikey
This is exactly what Canadian high schools are like, trust me.
Gil Faizon
Oh, HELLO! The rest of this list isn't ranked, but if it were, Gil would be at the top. This season, Gil and George St. Geegland (John Mulaney) gave us entirely too much tuna, but we were happy to eat it all.
