Initial Crime

Gabby Shaw (Lola Kirke) is attacked in the mob at a Wild Yaks show at a Manhattan club and "gang-assaulted," as Benson (Mariska Hargitay) puts it.

Real Crime

Three kids from Gabby's school -- Jake (Jeff O'Donnell) and Brit (Alexandra Socha), who brought her to the show, and Gabby's ex-boyfriend Alec (Parker Pogue) -- paid their less wealthy classmate Louis (Kam Dabrowski) $500 to pull down her tube top so that Louis's brother Ralph (Patrick Murney) could videotape it and humiliate Gabby. A bunch of strangers saw Gabby with her top down and took advantage of the situation, but that wasn't part of the plan.

Famous Guest Star Who Obviously Did It

Gabby picks out security guard Frank (Eion Bailey) as having been one of her assailants, remembering him on top of her. However, it turns out that Frank is a war veteran and that the pyrotechnics triggered a flashback about a time he tried to save a female colleague by shielding her body with his; he was doing the same with Gabby.

It's Late, Y'All!

"Multiple mouth and vaginal lacerations, trauma to her cervix. They used their hands, beer bottles"; "What was she doing dancing with her shirt off? Bodacious ta-tas, jiggling for everyone to see? Eh, she wanted it."

Egregious Breach Of Procedure

Rollins (Kelli Giddish) leads Frank into what turns out to be a false confession.

Who on the SVU Team Is Taking It Personally?

Amaro (Danny Pino) recognizes Frank's PTSD symptoms because his ex-wife Maria exhibited similar behaviour.

Verdict

Frank remembers someone videotaping the assault, and his description leads the detectives to Ralph. When he gives them access to the video, which has been posted on a password-protected site, Alec, Jake, and Brit plead guilty.

Revelations about the Continuing Characters' Personal Lives That We Should Remember Going Forward

When Rollins apologizes to Amaro for the way she treated Frank and for her doubts about Frank's PTSD, Amaro says she doesn't need to, and that he didn't recognize PTSD when it mattered: "I think it cost me my marriage." Rollins asks, "Have you told [Maria] that?"
