Ron Swanson Has An Analog Yelp Review For Canada

Curt, but expressive!

It's a pretty safe bet that Ron Swanson had no idea what Yelp was before April used it -- passive-aggressively -- to communicate to Donna, her new employee, that she needs to be more professional and attentive at the animal shelter. (Basically: it's not okay for Donna to leave her desk for an hour to go shopping.) And while Ron is certainly on board with the idea of complaining, to do it anonymously OR on the actual internet is not Ron's way, so he's taken the concept of Yelp and put his own spin on it.

Kind of impossible to argue with a declaration that starts with "Computers are mostly pointless" and ends with a slam on frozen yogurt. So I won't. Because I can't!

Once Ron has gotten into a grievance-airing frame of mind, it was only a matter of time before he ran through all the local vegetable purveyors (and good luck to the guy who thought he'd open a vegan restaurant in Pawnee; I assume it will have gone out of business before the end of the episode) and moved on to one of his most hated foes! The homeland of his pretty brunette ex-girlfriend Wendy! America's pacifist hat!

It's possible that Canada will never receive this message; Ron's frugal principles may keep him from paying more to mail his letter than it would to send one to [chokes down vomit] California. But if it does somehow make its way to its intended recipient, I know that Canada will find a way to derive some constructive criticism from it and use it to grow and improve. Perhaps while enjoying a frozen dessert.

Just how Canadian is this?

The Canadianosity Scale™ measures both the accuracy and Canadiannessity of a mention of Canada on American television. In this case, we're rating how well the mention of Canada lines up with what we already know about this über-American character, and the score of nine is roughly equivalent to the number of peameal bacon sandwiches Ron might enjoy before learning their provenance.
