SNL Season 40: The First-Time Hosts We'd Like To See

It's that time of year again: with one SNL season ended, we can look ahead to the next and make some extremely salient and reasonable suggestions as to which first-time hosts we'd like to see. SOMEhow, the show's producers did not take any of my suggestions from this space last year. But I'm willing to give them a chance to make things right in the year to come. Here, in no particular order, are the stars who deserve a shot at the guest host slot.

Kristen Bell

Why She Might Get Called If 2/3 of the monologues this season are anything to go by, the show really loves it when people sing, which she can definitely do; she already got her SNL training wheels with The Maya Rudolph Show.

Why He Might Get Called It's nice to give ladies/gay bros eye candy too sometimes; occasionally you have to promote a show that ISN'T on NBC; Brits can act.
