I think I know why this cut-at-dress sketch was more successful and entertaining than most of what actually aired: because his part was on film, host Zach Galifianakis had the chance to do another take when he messed up a line (something he did at least twice and generally much more frequently in the episode's live sketches). Also, I was admittedly all the way on board as soon as those faux-vintage credits rolled.
And since we're here, and you probably didn't bother to pause the screen at the end of the Fox & Friends sketch: the show's social media people posted them in full. My favourites: "Syria is not Arabic for 'serious'"; "Number 2 pencils are not sad that they lost"; and "Anytime minutes don't let you call the future."
