Sitting With The Enemy
Elizabeth and Philip finally get a sitdown with possible spy-killer Larrick, but since we're only halfway through the season, maybe he's not the guy?

Meeting Time
Red Tails
Who called the meeting? Oleg.
What's it about? His FBI surveillance.
How'd it go? Inconclusive: Oleg gives Stan three days to bring him the FBI's surveillance logs on himself so that Oleg can see who's following him, where, and how much. Stan is tense as hell -- he mentions that Nina's missed a couple of meetings with him, to which Oleg smugly says he's been keeping her pretty busy -- but when he seems like he might get physically aggressive, Oleg calmly plays the Nina card: "I die, she dies." Stan backs off, because now he's Oleg's bitch as well as Nina's.

Character Study
Executing Counterespionage...Navally!
Having met with Claudia (off-books), Philip and Elizabeth and a couple of their medium-crazy wigs make first contact with the man The Centre suspects killed Emmett and Leanne.
Name: Andrew Larrick. Age: Late 40s. Occupation: Some kind of Navy guy. Goal: Treason??? Sample Dialogue: "So you've got someone inside the KGB who gave me up. You know what? You charge me, you burn them. You're never going to do that. I'll walk away from this." -
Awkward
Those Who Kill..? Maybe?
Situation: A couple of deep-cover KGB agents were killed (see above) (or any episode this season).
What Makes Awkward? This guy Larrick is the prime suspect in Emmett and Leanne's murder because he's gay and they got him to start collaborating with the KGB by blackmailing him. But when Elizabeth and Philip confront him posing as CIA Security who've figured out that he's working with the Soviets, Larrick is so forthcoming (and belligerent) that when he says he didn't do it, Elizabeth and Philip believe him.
How is order restored? Turns out Larrick's current assignment has him working in Nicaragua, so he's useful to the KGB again whether he did it or not.

Alert!
Open Marriage
Alert Type: Role-Playing Alert.
Issue: Elizabeth can't stop thinking about Martha's description of Clark as some kind of sexual dynamo.
Complicating Factors: Philip won't take the hint that she'd like him to bring her some of what he's been giving Martha, so when she tells him straight out that she'd like to fuck Clark, he refuses.
Resolution: Clark comes home to his apartment to find Elizabeth waiting in her underwear. When he starts to do his thing, she complains that it's the same thing he does at home and goads him into being more aggressive.
Spoiler: 1. Elizabeth thought she wanted Clark to be rough but she actually did not.
2. The only thing worse than Clark in his wig is Clark half-out of his wig.

Meeting Time
CONTRA Dick Story
Who called the meeting? Kate.
What's it about? Larrick.
How'd it go? Kind of uncomfortable: the Jenningses are kind of snippy to Kate and she's snippy right back, given that now she knows that Philip and Elizabeth went out on their own to track down Larrick, without The Centre's knowledge. BUT: it's probably a good thing that Elizabeth didn't kill Larrick when they met, because he has a lot of strategic value. Larrick is involved in Operation Martial Eagle, which is training Contras on U.S. soil. Philip and Elizabeth are going to have to assassinate the commander and expose the camps' existence, and Larrick will be their way in. Since Claudia has literally never shut up about how smart and dangerous Larrick is, Elizabeth and Philip are not that psyched about having to work with him, and potentially letting him find out more about themselves and the kids, but...you know, they're spies, not cashiers at Michael's.

Awkward
One Not-So-Noble Obfuscation
Situation: Stan's not sure how he's going to weasel out of this Oleg business.
What Makes Awkward? He needs Gaad's help, but (a) he can't tell him the whole truth and admit that he fucked up and put himself in Oleg's path in the first place; (b) Stan is already not Gaad's favourite person, given that because of Stan, Gaad got demoted and is going to have to testify to Congress; (c) Stan came to Gaad's house to petition for his help, and Gaad doesn't seem that thrilled for Stan to know things about his private life, like that his wife is Vietnamese and that at least one of them is apparently Buddhist.
How is order restored? Stan says that Nina has been compromised, but that they can't exfiltrate her now or else her family in Moscow will be killed. He starts to say that he could help Nina by giving up certain intel, but Gaad's like, first of all, don't tell me this shit right now, and secondly: no. So it's not, and Stan still seems to be fucked.

Wrap It Up

"Yesterday, you loved me!" she tells him. "Today you call me a liar!" She says she's done with him and with all of this, and stomps out! Love is dead, Stan! Go home to your dumb red door!
Gay Larrick has gay sex outside a gay bar! How gay, you ask?
Larrick spots Philip there lurking like a creep and seems gratified! "You're not CIA!"
Elizabeth and Claudia discuss the Larrick situation! Elizabeth prefers working with people who believe in the Communist cause! Claudia's okay with people trading secrets for the money, but has found that blackmail seldom works!
