Using Newsroom Resources, On Election Night, To Trace The Buyer Of Her Book From A Charity Auction

And all the other things women got wrong in the season (maybe series???) finale of The Newsroom.

  • asking Will (Jeff Daniels) how he's doing so that he answers for twenty minutes
  • diverting newsroom resources -- during a multi-hour live election-night broadcast -- to track down the person who bought her fraudulently autographed book
  • "I want to get The Allman Brothers back together."
  • making business decisions (handing off control of the company to her son) while high
  • slamming into a party guest with a full tray of drinks
  • thinking Romney might win Massachusetts
  • thinking her unwashed hair might look better if she took it down
  • threatening to strike a colleague
  • thinking it's acceptable to tell a party waitress, "You can just bring me some more champagne, if it hasn't all been soaked up by your clothes."
  • letting some goon make her think she's dumb
  • having a multi-state catfight in front of dozens of colleagues
  • prefacing an alleged statistic with "almost nobody"
  • kissing a colleague in the middle of a control room full of people
  • living with a sworn enemy for a year after the falling-out that ended their friendship
  • needing some goon to tell her she's tough
  • setting Will up -- on camera, no less -- to bloviate about why he's a Republican/superior
  • barking "COME ON" in frustration, on air
  • accepting Will's proposal of marriage
