Here Are The Three Best Moments From President Obama's Visit To The Tonight Show

And yes, his brief cover of a certain diva made the cut.

Last night, Barack Obama made history as the first sitting president to guest on The Tonight Show, and as anyone could have predicted of the cutest, funniest, most charismatic U.S. president of my lifetime, he was an utter delight. The whole episode is available on Hulu (with many highlights also on YouTube for those outside the U.S.), but we've winnowed it down to the three must-see-eat moments.

  1. Side-Swiping Donald Trump

Not the only time that fuck comes up in the hour, but I love the beginning of this exchange for the economy of the joke and the impeccable timing with which it's delivered.

Now that's how you slam an extremely deserving someone while still remaining presidential.

  2. Thank-You Notes For The Past Eight Years

Obama's fake dudgeon at Fallon's joke about his real age as opposed to his appearance after two terms is topped only by his reference to the "Obama 'fro."

But really, all of this is great, and deserves the unironic "Thanks, Obama" on which it concludes.

  3. Slow-Jamming The News With The Biggest Newsmaker

I was kind of "eh" when I saw this is one of the bits the show was going to do with the president, since I usually think it's pretty corny (not that I thought they were going to have him do Beer Pong instead...but why not Pictionary with the night's other guest Madonna?!) However, this installment won me over...

...THE SECOND OBAMA COVERED A VERSE OF RIHANNA'S "WORK." I've been saying it basically since 2013 and I'll say it again: I am going to miss this guy SO MUCH when he's not our president anymore.
