Unsuspecting New Yorkers Get Mugged By Debra Messing
Billy Eichner moves so fast on his eponymous game show, Billy On The Street, that it's impossible for the audience at home to take in all the magic in one viewing. CASE IN POINT: last Friday's episode ended with Eichner and his extremely special guest, Debra Messing, racing through the Flatiron District accosting people for a segment called "It's Debra Messing, You Gays!" Eichner did his (amazing) thing, screaming at strangers to acknowledge the Emmy-winning actor he was dragging along with him. But Messing -- I assume -- was so unwilling to cede the spotlight to the show's actual star that she could not stop mugging to the camera and aggressively showing the civilians what a good sport she is.
It begins, in fact, before any civilians come on the scene, with Messing posing for the camera. See, she's wacky!
Then she uncorks her "TV's Julia Roberts" overlaugh at a street cleaner who's just trying to get some damn work done and has no clue who she is.
Street cleaner gets a bonus sass tongue.
Not even whilst running can Messing just chill out for a second.
This certified gay might be excited to meet Eichner, but Messing's face as she peeks around to surprise him lets him know he's about to be introduced to a real celebrity.
Debra Messing is shocked! Shocked, I tell you!
