Of course we are all heartbroken about the end of Kroll Show's second season. I'm sure Amy Schumer's show, which will take over the time slot next week, is fine (I'm actually not, but I'll give it a shot), but: Kroll Show. Over already. It's just too soon. I can't imagine how much harder this moment would be to take if we didn't already know it's definitely coming back next year.

But let's not look ahead to the Kroll-less weeks of sadness stretching ahead of us. Let's look back at some of the brightest moments we already got to enjoy -- specifically, by ranking the five best new characters of the season! (Really, it could almost be a five-way tie.)

5. Young Larry Bird

I know we would have all loved to see the further adventures of Young Billy Joel. But Young Larry Bird is a fine variation on the theme. I guess now's the time to put in our orders for which "Young" luminary we'd like to see Nick Kroll play next season, so: universe, please bring me Young Ron Silver.

4. Cleo

We all wondered what kind of woman gave birth to toilet baby C-Czar, and now we have our answer: a toilet mom!

3. Winnie/Heath

I already wrote about her as a Character We Love, so rather than repeat myself, let's just watch the YouTube eulogy she made with her brother Wendy for their nearly-dead Grampy Goobie. For real, though: he's about to dar.

2. Niece Denise

Pretty Liz's pregnancy this season was a significant distraction, and some pretty important stuff fell through the cracks, including her niece, Denise. Watch to the end of the clip to find out how all our creepiest photographers add to their extended families!

1. Sloppy Seconds

I know we all JUST got "L.A. Deli" out of our heads. Now it's back. Sorry!
