Younger Teaches Charles A Tough Lesson About Hog Management
Never trust a sweat short and a smile.
Those of us who've been watching Younger since Season 1 know that Charles Brooks has a lot going for him -- an impressive job, a child he adores, a very nice Manhattan brownstone. The latest episode adds the respect of the community for his charitable efforts, as we learn that he's instrumental in an initiative that pulps unsold books for building material later used to build schools for girls in developing countries, which is certainly laudable. But it also...uh...fleshes out our picture of Charles even more.
THAT'S RIGHT: CHARLES GOT A BIG OLD D. And since it's the most interesting story that's ever hit the publishing gossip circuit in years, or possibly ever, it's already going viral. Diana grabs Liza straight from a meeting with a fictionalized Cat Marnell, whose book Kelsey's trying to buy for her imprint, and orders Liza to scrub it from the internet immediately -- or maybe sooner, because it turns out it's already gotten back to (a very sheepish) Charles.
Diana and Liza promise they will get it off-- DOWN! They'll get it DOWN, and with Lauren's help and a lot of favours called in, Liza pretty much nails it, er gets the job done, nope comes out on top succeeds in her task. But given that everyone in publishing who sleeps with men -- or, for the brief moment Charles's dick pic graced it, just anyone who happens to have bookmarked FreeBallin.net -- probably took a screen shot for future, uh, reference, a luncheon called to honour Charles's charity work on behalf of girls and women takes a more penisy turn than its organizers probably originally expected.
