Claire Gets Valentine's Day Hot Pants

Traditionally, Valentine's Day is the one day of the year that Claire (Julie Bowen) is guaranteed to turn it out, sex-wise. We see it right from the start of this episode, from the opening hotel role-play with Phil/"Clive Bixby" (Ty Burrell), intercut with a talking head in which she is so aroused that she's gripping his hand for dear life.

After Claire's minor heart episode scuttles the couple's plans for filthy hotel sex, Claire is undeterred, bringing the role-play home with a figure-skating costume.

After Phil has to go break up a party thrown by their children, he returns to find that Claire has not been put off by his attempts to postpone sex for the sake of her health, and has, in his absence, had a costume change.
